Google’s Doodles have been captivating our attention since a couple of years. A friend of mine was a bit surprised when I mentioned the word ‘Doodle’. I said something like this: It happens that Doodles is the name of the little drawings that we came up with while someone is talking, or while we talk on the phone. Remember that in school you found yourself drawing on your notebook while the teacher was talking, well that is a Doodle.
So Google decided to give his Logo an interesting twist every now and then, making a branding change possible and totally fun! I must admit that I spent more than 5 minutes in a couple of them, like the Pac-Man logo (try it), where you can play the game inside the logo, that was brilliant. Or the one from John Lennon’s anniversary for Imagine. Lately they came up with a fabulous animation for Martha Graham’s 117th Birthday, celebrating the dancer’s career with it.
What is great is that for every country the logo can be different, it all depends if it is a national holiday or special occasion for each country.
Thanks Google for being so awesome!
